Even the Huracan comes in AWD and aside from the GT-R, its one of the other vehicles in the segment that sell well. GM has to conform instead of creating their own path.

Yeah I don't think GM has much a choice if they hope to stay on par with the performance times delivered by the cars you've mentioned. Even most new crossovers are offered with AWD now.

Those are a different league of AWD but it can be said that GM can leverage AWD systems from elsewhere in the company, even if its just a small percent of existing parts.

Also important to note this comes at a time that Nissan is preparing for a next-generation GT-R.
