This was what we’ve been waiting for, Chevrolet finally unveiled the new 2019 Corvette ZR1 at the Dubai International Motor Show and they’ve even publicised its powertrain specs.

Fans will be happy to note that the ZR1 is going to be the fastest and most powerful Corvette produced to date thanks to a new LT5 supercharged engine. We first caught a glimpse of it on Katech’s site due to an error on their end, but the engine’s output remained hidden.

Now the numbers are out and the 6.2-liter V-8 is good for an impressive 755 horsepower and 715 lb-ft of torque with a top speed of 210 miles per hour. The power boost can be attributed to GM’s first dual-injection system and a blower that Auto123 claims to be “52% larger than the one in the LT4 of the Corvette Z06.”

Another first for the ZR1 is an optional eight-speed automatic transmission, but don’t fret manual enthusiasts because a 7-speed manual gearbox comes standard.

As for its looks, the front facia and overall aggressive bodywork does not disappoint. Maximising drivetrain cooling is a set of four radiators and a carbon fiber bonnet featuring a central air intake. Then you have aero bits like a front splitter, standard rear Low Wing or an optional adjustable High Wing depending on which aerodynamic package the ZR1 is equipped with.

Prices have not been announced yet, but we should hear more as its 2019 spring sale date approaches.
