What tires are you expecting?

Just a speculation thread and to see what people have experience with. The Z06 currently comes with 285/30/19 Michellin Pilot Sport Cup ZP tires which are very nice and transfer that 650hp and 650lb-ft of torque to the ground nicely. But if we're expecting more power out of the ZR1, do you think they'll up the tires as well? It also helps to remember that it'll be mid-engine which means more weight towards the rear wheels opposed to the regular front engine setup.

I know some people will jump the gun and immediately drive for M/T ET street radials, but is there anything else that could be a better "all arounder" as we know the ET streets are terrible for wet weather (given as they should be).

Probably sticking with whatever tires they offer to be honest. They'll know that they need some real good rubbers and I'm pretty sure they'll be good enough all rounders. They could also do something like what Dodge did and get new tires developed from a brand. They partnered with Kumho and developed the Ecsta V720 for the ACR

I doubt they'll get tires made for it... With so many good brands of tires out there with many that are track oriented, I'm sure they'll be able to pick something. How much do you think a set of those V720s go for though?

If Chevy is thinking right they'll team up with a reputable tire company like Pirelli to give us Corvette approved tire options, like P Zero's for summer and Winter SottoZero for winter.

Even Michelin is trying to get in on the action. Looked into this for myself and realized some owners have been getting Pilot Sport 4S'
Reviews are quite convincing, all from reputable sources and a wide range of owners.
