There are a lot less moving parts in EV's, so that should help to reduce the base weight right off the bat. I expect battery packs to continue to get more compact and lightweight as the technology advances. Have you guys heard of liquid battery packs? Could be the next step.

chassis and body components are what i'm after because those really tax the vehicles weight. the increased use of aluminum that some thought to be too soft, proved not to with the right construction. this time around with cheaper carbon production, its almost clear what will be the next big move.
