Yenko/SC 800hp Corvette C7

The latest Corvette has been introduced and it's a Yenko /SC Corvette. The company responsible for it is SVE (Specialty Vehicle Engineering) This thing packs 800hp under the darn hood!

6.8L with a fully balanced rotating assembly. Forged steel crank and rods. Forged aluminum pistons. Port and polished heads with a supercharger. All of that combined to give you 800hp and 750lb-ft of torque.

Only 50 will be made.

Quote:
That engine can be coupled to either a 7-speed manual or 8-speed automatic, and customers can have the whole powertrain in either a coupe or convertible. Regardless of transmission or body style, the car will feature Yenko stripes available in an array of colors, a cast-aluminum quad-tip exhaust, a new rear bumper with diffuser, and Yenko badging inside and out. Also, since the car is based on the Grand Sport, it comes with all of that car's performance upgrades, including wider fenders, magnetorheological suspension, Brembo brakes, limited-slip differential, and dry-sump oil system.

Now to own one of the baddest C7 Corvettes, you'll need a pretty impressive wallet. The package costs $46,000, and you'll have to purchase or provide a Grand Sport to be modified. The Grand Sport starts at $66,445, so you'll be looking at a price of $112,445. To put that into perspective, a Corvette Z06 will run just over $80,000 with no options. Don't take too long to make a decision though, since SVE will only build 50 of these Yenko/SC Corvettes.
Personally, I'm not fond of this Yenko paint scheme on the Corvette. Just doesn't fit in my opinion. But with an engine built like that, Yeah... I'm willing to look past it. Gotta love that darn spoiler with the clear center piece though.

Move over Z06, this Yenko/SC Corvette makes 800 horsepower - Autoblog

Starting to think they should start pulling color scheme's from the classic Yenko Camaro. Yellow being one of them:

Blue is probably the most sought after:

Those two colors I think would have been a hit. Even if they maintained a very similar variant to the side stripe and left it like that without the orange on the hood and what not, it could have looked a lot cleaner and a lot closer to a Yenko

Considering they already have a yellow paint option, it wouldn't have been that hard to get it done. Would have been cool if they used those exact paint codes from back then though. Even if they had recreated wheels that resembled those back then and made them more modern and aggressive.

Fortunately with how easy it is to wrap a vehicle these days (and cost efficient) it won't be that much of an issue for someone who really wants that color.

A bit of a stretch but that's if you really want it, always better if it comes from factory.

If FCA can do it then i'm sure GM will follow along.

I rather true paint over a wrap any day. Definitely worth the money, drastically better result, I mean... you can't beat a darn good paint job.
