While roadways become quieter will be beneficial for all those who live nearby motorways and main streets, there are obviously safety implications as well. Luckily it seems that most new EV's are debuting with the next generation of safety technology.

There has been talk of government regulated warning noises at low speeds for pedestrians, but inevitably I'm sure future vehicles will be able to communicate with other cars and smart phones. We will probably need to move to 5G networks for that work however.
