Just thought of something, why are we still speculating on the engine when this one was leaked? Doubt Chevy will just switch engines just because of this so we should be getting a 6.2 liter DOHC V8. Most likely built by Mercury Marine Racing because they're the same guys who built the original LT5 DOHC engine in the old 91-96 ZR1 C4 corvettes.

Valid point although I can see them offer a hybrid powertrain in the future.
The C8 is going to be around during a time that hybrid sportscars and supercars will be very popular and GM will want to capitalize on the opportunity.
