GM trademarks new nameplate

There's been plenty of speculation around the upcoming mid engine Corvette, but thanks to some eager fans, we may have an idea as to its production name. Due to a recent search of various patent databases, its been discovered that Chevy has been registering the 'Zora' name in various market. The filings were found in the U.S, Europe, UK, Japan, Australia, South Korea and China. For those who don't know Zora Arkus Duntov was the first chief engineer of the original Corvette that helped to bring this iconic car to life. He was a firm believer that the Corvette should be mid engined and built the XP 819 prototype back in 1964.

It's a great nameplate for the new model imo. And I can bet that @Zora would agree. Great of them to give a nod to someone who always knew the vet should be mid engine.

Always seen it as being the official nameplate. Looking at the names they use currently, it fits right into Chevy's profile.
