What are you willing to pay?
 

There are a lot of rumors going around in regards to how much the C8 is going to cost, but the vast majority of engineers think that its going to cover a very steep price tag, even higher than what vet customers are used to. Early estimations put the base model in the $70-$100k bracket.

Just under $100,000 as ideally a low $90k vehicle to start will be what i'm after. However that depends on specifications.
Other cars of its caliber have opened up the opportunity of this being in the $100-120k range. Similar to the Nissan GT-R.

This is really going to depend on what kind of power outputs we see. Not sure just yet how it will compare to the likes of the ZR1. It would be great to see a starting price of less than six figures.

Do we think that the C8 is going to be putting our ZR1 levels of power? It if does encroach on the 755hp that's on tap there, then I think a $100k tag is easily justified.

IMO it would be great to have both but each specializing in different needs, the more supercar like C8 mule for twisty roads and our traditional style vette for straight lines.

Do we think that there is actually going to be multiple trim levels of the C8? Since Chevy plans on continuing to offer the C7 alongside the C8 for a set amount of time, I don't know if there is a need.

Some car makers do well selling two versions of a product that achieves similar goals but caters to different buyer types especially when one version established a buyer base for many years.

Front engine and mid engine models would be preferred for this generation.

For launch we may just see a sole trim level, but it already looks like there may be more than one powertrain configuration. If GM does indeed offer a manual on the C8, it will be one of the only new sports cars to do so.

This would be surprising but welcomed. Honda also continues to push forward with brand new manual cars even though they account for a very low percentage of sales. It doesn't help that new DCT's often have the best performance numbers.

IMO using the same model packaging would be best to start things off, those being; Z06, ZR1 and Stingray. It allows them to play with price quite a bit and make it a mass market supercar.
Being too restrictive and binary with choice might lead to a sales flop like the NSX, not as bad but bad compared to current Vette sales.
