Hope that Gm doesn't skimp out on the interior materials as there should not be any cheap scratchy plastics in a car like this. Steering wheel looks premium enough, but I'm not so sure about that...

Not sure that dumping money into a model that's being phased out makes sense, especially with so many unsold units. We do sometimes see some a farewell final edition on discontinued cars, but Chevy...

This is getting a bit closer to the dimensions that we are seeing on the test mules and its a good improvement over earlier designs. Still not sold on those giant rear vents, but hopefully they are...

I like the new look and its subtle enough that it shouldn't anger the loyalists. I do wonder how many current C7 owners even have an interest in this new vet, because there is already such an...

Chevy only produced something like 9,500 Corvettes last year, so I'm guessing the C8 will probably be even less than that. Interesting statistic is that this number is lowest they've ever been since...

C8 production could start in December

Yet again we are relying on rumors about the C8's impending release, but a new leak from a supplier claims the car will go into production next winter. While many of us were hoping the car would...

GM has done a pretty poor job keeping the C8 a secret, and its probably a big reason why the backlog continues to grow. That's no small number of old models to sell through and even with aggressive...

We can already tell from the test mules that this body style isn't what we will be getting in the production model. Its just an insight into what the platform looks like with a removable top.

It was just a poor attempt at throwback styling to pay homage to models past, but I agree it doesn't quite work. In a mid engine car, the rear glass panel won't be used for rear visibility anyways.

2020 C8 rendered as targa top

Although this has yet to be confirmed by Chevy, a new rendering has just appeared online, which gives a first glance at what a targa top model would look like. The production model wont have this C7...

There's been mention of a lot of active aero tech in the C8, so that could also find its way into a spoiler on one of the top end trims. From Car and Driver

Adapting it to the C8 should be a non issue. The 2020 GT500 is rumored to be coming with a flat plane crank V8 that makes more than 700hp.

Found a custom C7 that had a split window placed. This is similar in style to what we could be seeing on the C8. Shouldn't result in a huge loss of visibility either. https://i.imgur.com/j8UHLPM.jpg

I would rather no fake plastic engine cover at all. But odds are we will probably see styling similar to the LS crate engines.

The C8 is an opportunity for them to explore new designs that have never been placed on a Corvette in the past. We still don't know if there is any truth to the rumored hybrid powerplant.

Some spy photos of the interior leaked last week and it seems some auto blogs have begun to dissect the screen shots. Upon closer inspection some think that the C8 may have a split rear window. This...

The magnesium parts is something I didn't expect, but it make sense with their focus on high performance. Magnesium provides fairly significant weight reduction over both steel and aluminum.

Would be nice to see it without all the cladding, so we can get a sense of the body lines and proportions. Some of the newer renderings have done a good job of previewing what we may see.

With no official information from Chevy themselves in regards to specs and pricing, I doubt that many pre orders have been placed. Are we thinking that the first run will probably be fairly limited?

Seems unnecessary for what's meant to be a supercar. Unwanted weight is going to have an impact on handling as well as off the line performance.
